AMA secures planning permission for new extension to Car Colston, Cottage

Further to collaboration with Rushcliffe County Council planning was achieved for a single storey extension to a Cottage in the Conservation Area of Car Colston. The cottage is situated on the large Common which is 16 ½ acres (the largest in the county). Originally two 18th Century red brick cottages, the proposals are for a single storey pitched roof extension to the west of the original cottage. The extension represents an 18% increase in the existing floor area of the cottage, providing accommodation for new kitchen dining room. The design picks up on original cottage details whilst incorporating a large contemporary ridge roof light to bring natural light into the space. Works due to be complete autumn 2012
