Winner of the George Phillips Award



 

Alex McIntyre receives the George Phillips Award at Oakham Castle in recognition of a significant contribution towards conserving the built environment in Rutland. The Award is given each year by Rutland Local History & Record Society in conjunction with Rutland County Council. Alex received the award with his client for the complete refurbishment, remodelling and structural works to a Grade II listed House in the centre of one of Rutland’s principal Conservation Areas. Alex McIntyre Architects, New house Nottinghamshire has been shortlisted for the RIBA’s (Royal Institute of British Architects) 2013 Awards. All shortlisted buildings will be assessed by a regional jury with the winners of an RIBA East Midlands Award announced on the evening of Wednesday 12 June 2013 at Millennium Point in Birmingham. Regional winners will also be considered for a highly-coveted RIBA National Award in recognition of their architectural excellence, which will be announced at the same event.
