Welcome to another update on our New Build Country House project in Nottinghamshire. As you can see the Lower Ground Floor construction is still on the way. The basement waterproofing is complete and the shuttering and reinforcements for the concrete floor slab are in place.

The Lower Ground Floor of the the New Build Country House is partially below ground level and is being constructed like a basement. We have used a Sika Waterproof Membrane system to ensure that there are no leaks into the building. Sika representatives were on site to advise during the installation of the membrane, particularly with the corner areas of the building which need to be formed in a specific way in order to keep out moisture.

Our next update will have photos from the installation of the Ground Source Heat Pump that has begun on site. Make sure to visit again to keep up to date on all of our projects here at Alex McIntyre Architects.
