Final Touches - New Build House Derbyshire

Alex McIntyre Architects New Build House in Derbyshire is nearing completion. One of the remaining areas to be finished is the swimming pool, pictured below with it's mechanical rolling tiled pool cover in the closed position. The screen between the pool and gym at first floor is now completed and the remaining final touches of technology are being installed.

The swimming room has an abundance of natural light due to the extremely thin Fineline Aluminium sliding doors. The artificial light is provided by LED strips concealed in the stretch ceiling. This a lightweight 0.2mm thick PVC fabric membrane stretched across the central panel of the ceiling to form a light box that will produce an diffuse but bright light over the swimming pool.

The projector and projector screen are concealed within a bulkhead as you can see in the image below. The system is controlled using Control 4. Using your an app on your phone or tablet, the screen can be lowered and the projector can be be used to display any of the digital media devices and all the TV channels available in the house.
