Planning Submission - GRANTED

The client’s brief called for two distinct areas of design. Firstly to create a contemporary extension to create additional ground floor accommodation taking advantage of the south easterly view from

the site, and secondly to create a courtyard to provide ancillary uses to the house.

The former requirement provided the opportunity to remove and reinterpret the existing box-like house extension obscuring the existing elevation facing Main Street and the latter allowed for a substantial volume of outbuildings to be removed and replaced with more subservient structures to improve the setting of the farmhouse.
